Christmas is a normally stressful situation but as Cancer Caregivers it takes on an entirely new meaning. Hanging Christmas lights on your house seems frivolous compared to your loved ones health. We need to allow ourselves to release expectations of a ” perfect” holiday. Learn to enjoy a basic concept like sipping hot chocolate while listening to a Christmas carol on the radio. Instead of registering for a sweater post a “wish list” of home maintenance or doctor appointments someone can accompany you to on social media. Allow your friends & family to know what would really be appreciated this year. Allow them to LOVE you.

Barbara Kavanagh, President and CEO of Arizona Myeloma Network, a 2014 Top-Rated NonProfit by Great Nonprofits, is honored to have the support of Chris Colyer and William Mulholland, II, Partner at Snell & Wilmer. “We are a small non-profit doing what no one else does. Snell & Wilmer sees the immediate and positive impact we have on cancer patients in the community. That is what makes this relationship so special to us,” Barbara states.
“The more money we raise, the more free face-to-face educational outreach we do to increase the quality of life for people impacted by cancer in our communities. Our mission is to educate Myeloma patients, ALL cancer caregivers and their families at no charge to them. Myeloma is a complex and often misdiagnosed cancer of bone marrow plasma cells that attacks and destroys the bone. Cancer patients live with Myeloma because there is no cure…yet. “
